Mertins Nail Spa

One of the past weekends when it was cold and snowy (the only snowy weekend we had all year ... in early March), we had a girls day with mani-pedi's. Lauren is all about girly things ... lip gloss, nail polish and fancy clothes. Is she mine???

It's warm outside!

The girls are so excited to play outside.  As most of you know ... we literally live outside all summer long.  We have a court full of girls and they all gather at the Mertins house when it is warm and ride bikes, make crafts, and hang out.

Lauren isn't a huge fan of the slide ... it all stems back to a boy that pushed her down a slide at the indoor Treehouse place.

Like mother ... like daughter

Mackenzie has been patiently waiting to participate in the Grayslake Colts park district cheerleading program since she was two.  All the girls in the neighborhood have been doing this for the past few years and teaching Mac their cheers/dances and putting her up in "stunts".  This coming fall she will finally be able to be a Colts Cheerleader.  She participated in a mini cheer clinic the last weekend in February ... it was the cutest thing ever!  She was so excited to see me in the audience and she actually watched the older cheer coaches and did the moves with them.  Hilarious ... she is officially a mini-me ... as if she wasn't already!
